Decatur Bakery

Mornings before the line. A bakery's first season on Decatur.

I shot the bakery over two mornings, before the ovens turned and before the line formed on Decatur. The light was still cold from the night. The owner wanted the room to feel honest — flour on the counter, kettle on the hob — not styled. We turned off two of the four pendants and let the windows do most of the work.
